The girls have enjoyed an endless number of hours playing in Gigi's closet, dressing up and learning the art of applying makeup.
During some weekend yard work we uncovered this very interesting butterfly type thing in our yard. It's body was very big and hairy, almost like a mouse. Can any identify it?
Alex was able to participate in a cooking class with a local company this month and made some very yummy bread sticks. She refused to wear the apron, surprise surprise, but Rory was happy to wear it for her. It was really a neat class and we might consider enrolling her in a weekly summer program.
The girls had an opportunity to visit a gymnastics gym and play on all of the equipment that real gymnasts use. Poor Rory wasn't really feeling great, so she didn't enjoy herself as much as she should have, but Alex loved it. I was so proud of the great courage she showed. Check out this video of her jumping!
We had a great visit with Gamga and Peppa and Uncle Petie this past week. Gamga and Alex spent a ton of time in the pool (which was WAY too cold for the rest of us) and both girls loved having all of the extra attention. We had great food and great fun and it all seemed to end too soon. How long until we can do it again?
In addition to all of the usual spring break fun we had the honor of celebrating Gigi's 80th birthday. We are all so lucky to be able to have our grandma/great grandma as part of our daily lives. Not many people are given that opportunity. We look forward to many more birthdays to come.
