We have enjoyed settling into our new house, unpacking, organizing and doing a little bit of decorating. Alex and I have had fun planting new flowers and talking about future gardening plans, we built the girls a new playhouse and are researching the possibility of adding a slide from the upper portion of the backyard to the lower portion. For the most part we have made our new house a home and really enjoy living here. Now, that is not to say I don't see plenty of painting decorating in our future, but for now it is comfortable.
Early in April Alex learned how to ride her bike without training wheels. To see a video of Alex riding click on this link.

She has had so much fun riding up and down our street and has turned into a little stunt devil. To help Rory keep up with her big sister she has transitioned from a tricycle to a two wheeler (with training wheels).
We all had a lot of fun with our many Easter egg hunts and celebrations. Our community hosted a big Easter party, complete with train rides, bounce houses, face painting, a petting zoo, balloon animals and of course the Easter Bunny! It was really a fun time and a great way to kick off the Easter holiday. We also participated in egg hunts at neighbors houses, the kids school, with our MOMS Club, and at home on Easter morning. For Easter weekend we were to lucky to have Gamga, Peppa, Aunt Mine, and Uncle Kyle visit. We had a great weekend hanging out together. Unfortunately I don't have many pictures to share since we all spent most of the weekend in our pajamas. :)
The girls and I joined some friends for an afternoon at the Dallas Arboretum. It was so very beautiful and we all had a great time. They had a special Fairytale exhibit which was really amazing. I think all of the kids especially loved having a picnic in the grass and running and playing tag together.
We also made a couple trips to the Heard Museum for some mini-hikes and chance to see the Dallas spring flowers and butterflies. We really look forward to visiting again in the fall when all of the leaves change colors.
So that brings us to May when life got even more crazy. Pat has been traveling to California a lot and knew he would need to be there for a couple weeks in May, so the girls and I decided that we might as well join him for a little CA fun. Then we decided if we were going to be so close to Arizona we should just stop by there for a visit as well, so we flew to AZ and spent a few days visiting with family and friends and then rented a car a spent a week in CA.
