Spring Break Part 1

We have returned home from our annual spring break trip with my side of the family. This year rather than our normal trip to California we spent spring break in Scottsdale, AZ. Yes, a total of 35 miles from home. And you didn't think we were adventurous! But seriously thank you to Carolee and Bill for opening their home to the crazy, messy, loud gang that we are. I am sure they are still trying to recoup from having us.
The girls had a great time and LOVED all of the attention and constant stream of gifts. They are going through withdrawal today as Daddy and Grandma witnessed when they called the house this morning to only hear the sound of screaming and crying. We are going to try to stay in today, play with our toys and catch up on some sleep. Maybe tomorrow everyone will be back to normal.

We "kicked" off spring break with Alex's first soccer practice. She loved it and looked like a natural out there. I think I see weekends of soccer games in my furture! After the big practice we packed up the cars and drove to Carolee and Bill's house were we spent our days enjoying the sun, swimming, playing tennis and golf and relaxing and our evenings eating great food. Here are some pictures of the highlights...

As always with our group the internal body tempature between people ranged widely, so many conversations revolved around who is too hot and who is too cold. Can you tell who was hot and who was cold based on these pictures?

The great finish to our trip was Easter. The girls had a great time, although neither wanted to meet the Easter Bunny this year. Alex loved collecting eggs and Rory loved eating the hay. :)

All I can say is you better be careful or next year spring break will be at your house!

Trying something new...

Hi All,
A friend of mine is uses a blog to send her pictures and news about her family to her friends and family. I thought it looked so cool that I should give it a try also. I hope you all enjoy!

Rory took her first ride on the Burley this past weekend. How cute in her little helmet! Alex is such a great big sister to have made room for Rory to sit with her.

The kids have been enjoying the warm weather spending most afternoons at the park. Alex loves the slides and Rory loves to watch Alex. Rory claps for Alex as Alex comes down the slide. So cute!

Alex continues be an aspiring artist. She is really actually very good and loves to draw "Kitty" and her dogs.
