Oh my is is really almost May?

So a month has passed since my last post and I am not really sure what we have done! I do know that the girls and I are busy every day and we all know that Pat is too busy to even need to mention it, so it should be easy right? Well anyway I do know that when Alex is out of school in a couple weeks we need need a lot of playdates because my little girl is becoming very social and expects to have a friend over to play almost everyday. Rory likes to tag along but her first love is her dolls. She has one with her just about always and just in the last week has started taking one to bed with her. She is a good little mommy.

I took the kids to see their first Disney On Ice show this past month, which they enjoyed. But both of them told me their favorite part of the day was the light rail (train/subway type thing) we took to get there and home. I guess next time we can skip the show and just spend $2 to ride the train all day.

We enjoyed a wonderful Easter this year, featuring two different egg hunts for the kids, which they loved. The first hunt was scheduled outdoors but needed to be moved indoors because of the rain. The kids didn't seem to mind much - not once they opened their first egg and found the jellybeans. Rory has seemed to really dislike to the Easter Bunny after seeing him at the mall before Easter. Since then, almost everyday, Rory has told us she doesn't want to see the bunny "No Easter Bunny" or confirmed that the bunny will not be attending any of the same events as her, "No Bunny here". Poor kid was really traumatized!

For the longest time Alex has had an obsession with hummingbirds although she had never actually seen one. For Earth Day we hung a hummingbird feeder so she might have a chance to catch a glimpse of one. Well, so far no hummingbirds at the feeder but they do seem to be enjoying some of our plants and Alex finally saw one. What a thrill for her! We also, of course, made Earth Day cupcakes to celebrate.

Wishing you all May flowers -

Much love,

Caycee, Pat, Alex and Rory
