Merry Christmas 2008!

Merry Christmas Everyone!
It is hard to believe we are already half way through December and Christmas is just next week. Time just never slows down! We have had a very fun and exciting December preparing for the holidays with various activities.

We started the month with Pat's annual office Christmas party, "Holidays on Ice", which is a figure skating show that all Honeywell employees and their family's can attend. It was a great time and Alex was thrilled to see the amazing acts that some of the performers put on. At the end of the show the kids all get a special present to open which was a highlight for the girls. We hardly made it to the car before the paper was torn off!

The City of Chandler has had a series of Christmas themed events in the downtown "square". The most recent of which was a light parade which was essentially a parade that took place after dark and all of the floats and people were glowing with twinkly blinkly lights. It was so much fun to watch and listen to all of the Christmas music. Mom and Dad also had a great time watching the girls faces light up with amazement! Prior to the parade the City offered many fair type events including pony rides. Rory said "no thank you" but Alex jumped at the opportunity to ride on a real horse. We will have to look into horseback riding lessons for her soon. :)

In the last part of November Rory started her first class with just Mommy and Rory. Generally Rory has just participated (took over) any class that Alex is enrolled in. Rory has loved her Mini Explorers class, her favorite activity being water day. She was soaked from head to toe by the end of class. Sorry no pictures...too wet to get the camera out! During each class Rory asks me multiple times where Alex (Ala) is. She misses her big sister when they are apart!

The girls and I have made a tradition of spending our Thursday afternoons at the Farmer's Market and this past week I brough my camera so I could take a picture of Alex and Rory with their favorite farmer. Unfortuantley he was out of town this week. As you can see the girls have a great time running in the grass with their friends and Alex is a great helper picking out of veggies for the week.

My Moms Club coordinated a trip to a local fire department for the kids this week. It was an awesome adventure and we got to see the kitchen, workout room, dorm and of course the fire truck. The kids even got to sit in the truck and play. At the end of our visit there was an actual fire call and all of the firefighters loaded up in the truck and were off! It was so exciting for the kids and the moms!

That is all for now. We wish you all a Very Merry Christmas and New Year and watch for our next blog posting sometime after January 7th. If you are new to our blog please feel free to take a look at some of our past blogs. We have a great time with it and hope you enjoy it as well. I am also including a slide show with some pictures taken through out the year. Boy have these girls changed!

Love you all!

Caycee, Pat, Alex and Rory
