Happy Mother's Day

Hi All,

It has now been a couple weeks since my last post. Have you missed us? :) We are well and keeping busy as usual. I last left you at our Earth Day celebration. Most of you will not be suprised to hear that our plants are now dead. As it turns out our celebration did more harm than good for the earth.

For the last 6 months or so Alex has been working on a goal of sleeping with her door shut. When I originally set the goal I told her once she could do it we would have a party to celebrate. This past week she finally made it. Pat and I were so proud of her and she was so excited for herself. After many nights of her door closed we had the big party Friday night. Everyone had so much fun, although we missed you Smitty! Alex had a special cake and got a new My Little Pony "Walking Sweet Steps".

Saturday morning Sweet Steps was returned to it's box because Alex again refused to sleep with her door closed. I guess my little bribe didn't work very well!

We celebrated Mother's Day in a slightly untraditional manner this year. Pat's work rented out a water park for their employees so we enjoyed a day in the sun and water. We all had a lot of fun but were tired and ready to go at the end of the day, that is all except for Alex! She would have stayed their all night if we let her.

All of that water play made Rory's hair crazy!

In other news: Rory weaned herself off of the botte a couple weeks ago and now only uses a sippy cup. Alex learned her telephone number last week. Great job Girls!
